Last Thursday, we took both Romy and Whitty to the vet. Whitty needed to get his yearly vaccination and chip. Romy actually didn't have to go to the doctor just yet but because we figured that by taking both cats at the same time it would save us the cost of the consultation.......NOT. In the end we both looking at the receipt and was surprised that it the cost wat only 5€ less. Sob sob but nevertheless the cats had fun (errr ok it was no fun at all for them)
By the way if you are wondering what chip was. It's a system they use to register pets in Holland. So basically a really tiny miny device (the size is no bigger than a rice) is being planted under the pet's skin. The chip would carry information about the pet ie; name, address and phone number of the owner. If ever the pet got lost, people who found it could go to the local animal shelter, then they could scan the chip and find the owner. Neat huh ^_^ Still curious? Read here then.

Waiting patiently at the doctor's waiting room.

On daily basis, doctors in Holland rarely wear white coat anymore. They just wear casual clothes, it seems they don't want to be labeled scary or formal or anything like that like what their image used to be in the past, but Romy and Whitty's doctor immediately put his white coat on the minute I took my camera out from my bag. He said that he wanted to look neat for the camera, lol.
He said that Romy's heartbeat was rather fast, probably due to the nervousness....poor Romy. But on the other hand she was really good with the shot, I didn't get the chance to take picture because it happened so quick and my amateur hands were way too slow.
Another good news that Romy was in a good shape ^_^ with 4.2 kg. Way to go Ro!!

Meanwhile it took 3 persons to handle the white cat aka Whitty. He couldn't sit still when the doctor was trying to shoot the chip on his neck until finally the doctor had to call his wife (also a vet). Jeez Whit....3 persons to handle you.....what a handful cat.

On the way back, I took this shoot which I think lovely. Peter with two cats in the basket with the townhall as the background. What a night out with Whitty and Romy.
